PRODUCTION OF NOSE CLIPS FOR FACE MASKS

With the onset of the pandemic and the subsequent State of Emergency, the company immediately suffered delays and cancellations of several orders, leading it to rethink its products and ways of responding to the market. Since its textile industry clients adapted production to manufacture face masks, and there was a great shortage of nose clips for these masks, the company decided to make the first cutter in late February and start producing this type of product. The company produced about 150,000 units/day, and the requests have been increasing, forcing it to invest more in this area to meet the various customer demands. With this project, the company aims to improve the currently manufactured clips and triple its production capacity.

REINFORCE THE COMPETITIVENESS SMEs

This project, named «Luxury@ArtInVogue», aims to increase ArtinVogue's production capacity to boost its strategic repositioning in the global luxury segment in the various industries it is involved in. Since the luxury segment is very demanding, repositioning requires, in addition to increasing capacity, an improvement in process efficiency and a better market response capacity. Thus, the company plans to make investments that will endow its products with new capabilities, particularly in terms of quality, precision, and finishing; promote sustainable development and prevent environmental degradation through its production process; ensure production process efficiency by optimizing its layout; and create a digital ecosystem, considering Industry 4.0, to foster the interconnection of all process phases.


With the implementation of the «Luxury@ArtInVogue» project, the company expects to achieve the following results in the post-project year 2022:

Decarbonization and Growth

A Artinvogue intends, within the scope of this project, to install a 53.9 kWp Self-Consumption Production Unit (UPAC) for self-consumption with storage (storage batteries) and without injection into the electricity grid. The installation will result in a total self-consumed photovoltaic energy, considering storage, of 95,404 kWh/year and an annual reduction of 17.55 tCO2 in greenhouse gas emissions, contributing not only to Artinvogue's decarbonization goals but also to the objectives and priorities established in the National Energy and Climate Plan 2030 (PNEC 2030), and helping accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral economy.

Objectives, activities, and expected results:

ArtInVogue, with 17 years since its creation, is dedicated to machining and injecting metal parts and accessories for various industries such as textiles, footwear, leather goods, and automotive. The company's main products include buckles, fasteners, keychains, stops, sliders, eyelets, locks, applications, jewelry, rings, snap hooks, and other accessories. This productive innovation project aims to increase production capacity by around 20%, expand the product range (with new finishes and materials), reduce the environmental footprint, enlarge the production unit, improve marketing strategy, and enhance internal organization with management support software. Several investments will be made, totaling approximately 1.7 million euros.
